Kambah Tennis Club is a non-profit organisation but we are required to collect fees and raise funds through other activites to pay for the operation and maintenance of the existing facilities.  We also need to raise funds to pay for any new facilities and major works such as court resurfacing.  Members are encouraged to help out, and if you've got an idea for fundraising or would like to help with any future activities, please contact the committee.

The Club ran very successful fundraising BBQs at Bunnings, Tuggeranong on:
  • Saturday 22nd January 2018. $1400 was raised.
  • Saturday 8th October 2016. $2000 was raised.
  • Saturday, 9th July 2016. $1500 was raised.
  • Saturday, 11th July 2015. $1500 was raised.
  • Saturday, 5th April 2014.  $1200 was raised.
  • Saturday, 6th October 2012.  $1500 was raised.
  • Saturday, 9th July 2011.  $1745 was raised to top-up the Club's bank account.
Thanks to everyone who helped organise and run these events.  The Bunnings staff at Tuggeranong are always amazingly helpful - thank you!

In 2009/2010 KTC undertook various fundraising activities with the aim of raising enough money to replace the two bottom court surfaces.  We raised over $6,000 towards the target and were able to pay for two new court surfaces that were installed in November 2010.

Highlights of the fundraising campaign so far have been:
  • We had a very successful fundraising BBQ at Bunnings, Tuggeranong on Sunday 15th August 2010. The club raised $1400 on the day. A big thank you to all the people that organised, served, cooked sausages and cut onions.  Another big thank you to Bunnings for the opportunity and the help they provide on the day - the local Bunnings staff make it all so easy.
  • The Club raised about $900 from the sale of sausages sandwiches and drinks on 29 December 2009 at Bunnings Tuggeranong and then about another $850 on New Year’s Day 2010 at Bunnings Tuggeranong as well.
  • About $500 was raised from the chocolate drive in late 2009.
  • On the 19th of July 2009 the club had a fundraising sausage sizzle at Harvey Norman's warehouse at Hume. The club made around $500 profit which will be put to good use. Thanks to all of those members who contributed an hour or two on the day and to Karenn Layne for organising it.
  • On the 18th of January 2009, we were the "sausage sandwich sellers" at Bunnings, Tuggeranong.  It was a long day from 8:00am until 5:00pm and the Club raised $1200 - a great result.  Special thanks go to Bunnings for all their help and support and to Karenn & Maurie Layne for doing all the organising and to those Club members who took a few hours from their Sunday to come and help out.  If you weren't able to help this time, don't worry, there will be opportunities in the future.
  • The club ran a very successful chocolate drive in 2008.  We raised about $900 over a four month period.
